DNC Staffer Sues Trump Campaign, Claims Hacked Emails Outed Him To Family
Two Democratic Party donors and a former Democratic National Committee staff member have filed an invasion of privacy lawsuit against the Trump campaign, accusing them of conspiring with the Russian government in the release of hacked Democratic emails and files that exposed their personal information to the public, reports The New York Times.
Project Democracy, a nonprofit watchdog, has filed the suit on behalf of outed staffer Scott Comer who says he was outed to his family and was caused irreparable harm thanks to the hacked emails.
Over 3,000 of Comer’s emails were made public. These include emails that revealed his sexuality to his grandparents and “strained family relations.”
