A crowd of outraged beachgoers were seen on video surrounding a squad of heavily armed police officers in Mexico and demanding the release of two men after they were arrested for kissing on a public beach, reports LGBTQNation.

The officers released the men after a crowd of parents and locals began chanting “I’m gay!” and “I’m gay too!” in solidarity with the men.

The now-viral video post alleges that arresting officers were “violent” and claims that the men were being arrested for kissing in front of “parents and children and they cannot be seeing this.”
