It’s officially summer in New York City, and there’s no better way to beat the humidity than by popping into one of the gorgeous theaters that make up the Tribeca Film Festival, a star-studded celebration of independent filmmaking that’s been going strong since 2002.

Of course, it’s also Pride Month, and though this year’s Tribeca runs from June 4 – 15, it’s not technically a queer film festival. But even so, there’s a surprisingly robust roster of films in the program that either spotlight LGBTQ+ luminaries, tackle themes resonant to our community, or
