Gay GB News host Alex Armstrong claims we don’t need Pride

Gay GB News host Alex Armstrong has railed against Pride month, claiming that the celebrations “do the exact opposite” of tackling homophobia.

The presenter – not to be confused with Pointless host Alexander Armstrong – made the comments during a debate segment titled ‘Do we need Pride Month?’, with a clip subsequently shared on his social media accounts on Wednesday (4 June).

“Things like Pride do the exact opposite to what Jonathan [a guest on the show] thinks they do. It turns people off,” Alexander said. “What I see when I see some of those Pride events is fetishes being displayed on the street, men running naked around, thinking that’s acceptable when there are children walking around.

“It doesn’t show anything good about the gay community.
