I’m a gay man who resents being part of the the “LGBTQ+” umbrella. Does that make me a horrible person?
Hi Jake,
27-year-old gay man here. I’m having a hard time with something, and it makes me feel like a jerk…
I realize I’m a member of the “LGBTQ+” community, but I honestly struggle with meeting and making friends with people outside of my group (a.k.a. the “G”). Almost all of my friends are gay men like me. That’s just who I connect with best and, to be honest, who I’m attracted to. Full disclosure: I’ve actually hooked up with and/or dated a lot of my friends—which is how we became friends in the first place.
How about we take this to the next level?
