Miley Cyrus says new album Something Beautiful is her ‘gayest’ yet

Pop icon Miley Cyrus has shared that her upcoming ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, is set to be her ‘gayest’ yet.

Former (like, really former) Disney Channel star Miley Cyrus is back, baby, with her ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, and accompanying visuals set to be released in full 30 May.

The first full musical instalment from Cyrus after 2023’s mega-hit Endless Summer Vacation, which was led by omnipresent maybe-Liam-Hemsworth-diss-track “Flowers”, Something Beautiful has high expectations to meet – but according to the pop star herself, we needn’t worry for one specific reason.

“On a scale of, I think, one to gay, how gay is this album?” Cyrus asked during a recent Spotify event (via Billboard). “It’s not only my best album, but also my gayest.”
