The first Monday in May is all about celebrities in the most luxurious and over-the-top couture outfits for the annual Met Gala.

This year, the annual fashion parade launched the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute exhibit entitled “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” an homage to the “indelible style of Black men in the context of dandyism, from the 18th-century through present day.”

The official dress code of the evening was listed as was “Tailored for You,” which Vogue described as “a nod to the exhibition’s focus on menswear and suiting that’s sure to bring out the sartorial creativity of this year’s attendees.”
