The corporate closet is back, baby.

After years of slapping rainbows on everything from mouthwash bottles to Lettuce, Guacamole, Bacon, and Tomato sandwiches, some brands are now getting shy about Pride.

Thanks to right-wing outrage and the threat of boycotts from people who think drag queens are scarier than their own political party’s platform, many retailers have quietly scaled back or de-queered their Pride collections in 2025.

But the merch? Oh, it’s still very much for sale…it’s just…less obvious.

This year’s Pride products are giving “don’t ask, don’t tell.” The logos are smaller. The rainbows are subtler. The packaging? Sometimes nonexistent. You might be wearing some “Pride” apparel right now and not even know it.

And that got us thinking…
