One of the most chaotic Awards Seasons has come to an end with the appropriately chaotic (in a fun way) 97th Annual Academy Awards.
As is tradition, all roads led to the historic Dolby Theater and the Oscars—a.k.a. “Hollywood’s Biggest Night”—where the year’s most acclaimed indies and biggest blockbusters were all honored on one stage.
Iconic late-night host Conan O’Brien was a first-time emcee, and he absolutely crushed, imbuing the evening with both a sense of whimsical absurdism and surprisingly cutting jokes that weren’t afraid to address some of the awkwardness in the room (more on that in a moment). But it was the night’s special performances we’re still singing the praises of—Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, thank you
