The queer stars of horror film ‘Companion’ are scaring up a lot of thirst on social media
Companion has hit movie theaters, bringing with it a trio of openly queer actors: Harvey Guillén(What We Do in the Shadows), Lukas Gage (Smile 2), and Jaboukie Young-White (Fantasmas).
Written and directed by Drew Hancock (Suburgatory) and produced by the team behind 2022’s Barbarian, the horror film follows a weekend getaway that “turns bloody … when a subservient android that’s built for human companionship goes haywire,” according to that synopsis.
Sophie Thatcher (Yellowjackets) plays that android, Iris, while Jack Quaid (The Boys) plays Josh, the dude controlling her… until Iris starts fighting back. (In the trailer, she discovers Josh set her intelligence at 40%; she, of course, adjusts the slider bar higher.)
