I’m From Driftwood is celebrating a decade of telling LGBTQ stories.

I’m From Driftwood is a non-profit organization that has been documenting LGBTQ stories for the past ten years. They interview LGBTQ people from across the United States of America to tell their stories of coming out, falling in love, fighting hate, and more.

The organization, founded by Nathan Manske, was created in March, 2009. At the time, Manske wanted to chronicle the American LGBTQ experience.

“The main message we started with was to help LGBT youth in small towns realize they’re not alone,” said Manske to NBC in 2016.
